Transformers Prime: The Game is a video game developed by Altron Corporation and NOW Production for the Wii, Wii U, Nintendo DS, and Nintendo 3DS platforms. This game focuses on the events of season 2 of Transformers: Prime cartoon, and involves the Autobots and Decepticons battling over a mysterious meteorite made of Dark Energon.

It's being published by Activision. This game got released on October 30,2012 for the NDS, N3DS, and the Wii and on November 18 for the Wii U.


The Decepticons discovered a large meteorite that contains Dark Energon. It is hooked up with The Nemesis. The Autobots have located the Dark Energon source and was almost successful in Megatron's plan, but he had a back up plan. Optimus dealt with his back up plan, succeeding and dealt with Megatron, but Megatron retreated. As soon as the Autobots tried to return to base, the meteorite broke up, sending the Autobots towards Earth, along with a piece of the meteorite with Thunderwings in it, which Megatron wants to use to defeat the Autobots.

  • Despite being around the time of Season 2 according to a producer at Activision, it is currently unknown why Smokescreen or Wheeljack were not in the game.
  • Dreadwing, Starscream, and Airachnid appear together in the game, but not in the tv show.
  • Thunderwing is made up of dark energon, very similar to Unicron in the show. The final Thunderwing battle zone is a volcanic area, also very similar to the beginning where Optimus fights Megatron of One Shall Rise, Part 1.
