Most of this is admittedly taken from the Wikipedia entry, although I have done a fair bit of editing on it (mostly to try to fix the many, many links in it, and also to remove stuff explicitly about OTFCC, but not about Botcon, since I think OTFCC should have [already has?] it's own article.--G.B. IIRC, the article was largely written by this wiki's own Hooper X, so it's not that big a deal to use it, I figger. --ItsWalky 18:18, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
It totally was! So play with it as you see fit! -hx 00:37, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
We can further alter it, of course. I mean, I'm of the opinion each show should have its own article where most of that guest/toy/location information should go, but other tidbits. Significant events at the shows, whatr Hasbro revealed, that sort of thing. --M Sipher 18:34, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
I'm certainly fine with this. It just seemed to me that there was a need for a more complete entry (i.e., not just one line), and this seemed like one that the existing Wikipedia was (largely) appropriate for (I don't advocate importing Wikipedia entries in general).--G.B. Blackrock 20:33, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
Sure. It's a good general overview for wikipedia... and a good base to cannibalize and expand on via multiple articles for our far superior TF wiki. --M Sipher 21:47, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
I think doing what Siph suggested would be totally awesome. A full page for each year's official 'con, with summaries of panels, guests, pretty much anything we can pull out of the programs. Exclusives, etc. That'd be cool. -hx 00:37, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
I mean... there HAS to be information like how the Wu Tang Clan fans caused the evacuation of the hotel and the trashing of the third floor at '97. No, it's not DIRECTLY BC info, but it's some heavy shit that's relevant. (Okay, plus there was the MSTF quip, but still.) --M Sipher 00:41, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
You know, seriously? In retrospect, I wish I had gone to the Wu-Tang show instead. Wu-Tang Clan ain't nothin' to fuck with. -hx 01:05, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

The end of 3H

Where can I find more info about the departure of the Hartmans? --Crockalley 14:37, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

Not a lot of it is "public" information. What's written here can probably be expanded, though. I, or somebody, can try to get to it soon. --Steve-o 04:52, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

TransformersCon

Is that an official TF convention or even affiliated with BotCon? If not... why is the link down the bottom? --FFN 14:55, 30 June 2007 (UTC)

Sentinel Prime

Where's this from? Chip 12:50, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

Botcon 2007. One of the Pannels. From what I understand originally (wasn't there myself) there was a whole different set in planning for this year, which is where Alpha Trion stems from and why he's not in any of the Con fiction. They apparently dumped whatever that concept was (including Sentinel Prime) in favor of Springer and co. but kept Alpha Trion anyway because they just really liked him. I don't know if they said what the others were besides Sentinel. Anyone know?

That sounds roughly correct, but I don't have my notes on me. If I remember, I will check tonight. --Steve-o 17:36, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
